Don't miss the world premiere of Timothy Sexton's new 40-minute choral cantata - Songs for a Distant Land.

A choral journey across the seas in tall ships to a distant land.

This evocative work captures the essence of our pioneers, from our distant seafarers to our immediate forebears as they struggled to tame the land a create a nation.  With 10 highly melodic movements, sung by the Marryatille High School Senior Vocal Ensemble and members of the State Opera Chorus, with pianist Jason Hammond and percussionists from the Adelaide Art Orchestra, this is a very special event.
