Symphony of Angels
Friday 16th April, 2010
The Angels with the Adelaide Art Orchestra at the Adelaide Festival Theatre
The original Angels line-up re-formed in 2008 and have gone on to play over 100 live performances as part of their Reunited, Night Attack, By Request and Live tours. From the outset, the concept of blending The Angels brand of Australian Rock with classically trained musicians has inspired them to create something new and sophisticated. The Adelaide Art Orchestra (in 30-piece mode) and The Angels are proud to announce Symphony of Angels - for one night only on Saturday 17 April 2010 in the Adelaide Festival Theatre.
For John and Rick Brewster, this is a dream come true, as both their father Arthur Brewster-Jones (cellist and conductor) and grandfather Hooper (concert pianist and composer) were brilliant classical musicians.
"If you haven't seen The Angels since they reformed, then Symphony of Angels is the perfect opportunity to see the band performing their greatest hits in a prestigious venue, in an expanded rock/orchestral format- it's the biggest line-up ever assembled to back the group. It will be a truly memorable concert". (Rob Pippan - event music director)
"We are at last about to realise our dream of one day performing our own music with an orchestra! It will add a whole new dimension to it. It's a very exciting and challenging prospect." (Rick Brewster)
This will be an event NOT TO MISS.
